I ran Driver Verifier as I was constantly getting BSOD with dxgkrnl.sys as the problem.
My Specs
The Static Driver Verifier Research Platform is a new academic release of Static Driver Verifier (SDV) and the SLAM software model checker that contains a parameterized version of SDV that enables the writing of custom API rules for APIs independent of device drivers; thousands of Boolean programs generated by SDV in the course of verifying. Driver verifier is a utility built into the OS (Vista, WIN 7, Win 8, and win 10) that will often find the driver/drivers that are the underlying cause of BSOD/Crashes It is an 'iffy' proposition because it will not ALWAYS tell us which driver it was, but it is the best way to narrow down the possibilities.

- Thanks to the Driver Update option, Windows 10 can search for updated driver software: Start -> Settings -> Update & Security -> Check for updates Choose the driver you need from the list and click Install.

So after looking online at how to set up Driver Verifier, I began.
My computer got caught in an infinite crash/reboot loop. I was unable to get into repair windows. Nor could I boot into safe mode.
Now I can turn the PC on and the motherboard splash screen pops up. There is a few problems that spring up here.
1. The splash screen now resembles the older splash screen that came up with a bios version lower than F8J. (F8J basically just says GIGABYTE where as the older splash screen is the GOLD SKULL)
2. I can't access BIOS. I have tried a USB and a PS/2 keyboard. Nothing works.
After a while the splash screen goes and I get a black screen with a blinking cursor in the top left. Nothing happens after that.
I have reset the CMOS and taken every part out (except the CPU), and made sure it was all reseated correctly.
If I take out both GPUs, the motherboard splash screen goes to a GIGABYTE UEFI DUAL BIOS screen. Nothing happens and the PC crashes shortly after.
I am wondering if Driver Verifier has reverted the bios back to an older version that doesn't support my CPU and is stopping everything from working? https://skieysand.weebly.com/bush-hog-serial-number-lookup.html.
I had taken it to a PC repair shop and the tech told me that when I upgraded to F8J, I damaged the motherboard as I didn't take the GPUs out before I did it. I have never known this to be the case. I asked around and did a quick google search and didn't find anything to support this.
I didn't have any problems with Windows 8.1, so I can't believe the tech is correct in saying that I damaged the motherboard when I upgraded it over 12months ago.
I have tried to talk to Gigabyte Support but have yet to receive a reply.

How To Run Driver Verifier
Thank you
Damian
I’m running Windows 10 Pro on a desktop with a I7 processor and 16 gigs of ram. The system is full patched from the Windows update built into Windows. I manually run it weekly to keep Windows updated.
This was a clean installation of Windows 10 from two years ago. I’ve kept the system very clean with ESET anti-virus and Malwarebytes 3 cloud version. The system has been very stable with virtually no problems. Watchguard firewire xtm mac download. I’ve been working in tech support for windows for ten years so I’m fairly familiar in maintaining and troubleshooting technical issues.

Two weeks ago, I received my first BSOD on this Win 10 Pc. I installed Nirsoft Blue Screen Viewer but it didn’t provide much info on the cause and I don’t have much experience in determining what driver could have cause it.
This morning I received another BSOD and tried investigating. I googled it and found the Windows Driver Verifier mentioned in Windows. I ran it and selected the only driver it found it said was unsigned. I rebooted and everything was fine. Nirsoft Blue Screen viewer mentioned the dump was in NsKernl
So I added Nskernl as a 2nd driver to check in Driver Verifier and upon restarting, I received two BSOD’s. Windows went into an automatic repair and reverted to an earlier version. That worked and now it’s running again. I’m assuming I should not add that driver into Driver Verifier any more.
I ran Nirsoft Blue Screen viewer and it said the dump was caused by a DRIVER_VERIFIER_IOMANAGER_VIOLATION. I have a minidump but I received a message when trying to attach it that that type of file could not be uploaded.
Can you review this and let me know what I should do? I’m not sure what direction I should go.
Thanks,
